U.S AMBASSADOR TO THE VATICAN MEETS U.S VICTIMS OF CLERICAL SEX ABUSE

US victims of clerical sexual abuse are meeting the US ambassador to the Vatican this afternoon, for the first time in the history of the abuse and cover-up crisis in the Catholic Church.
Representatives of Ending Clergy Abuse say they'll voice concerns about how Vatican rules, policies and directives are responsible for the sexual abuse of children, and what steps the US government are taking to address it.
The meeting comes as a four day summit on tackling the sexual abuse crisis in the Catholic Church continues at the Vatican. In his address this morning at the, Cardinal Blase Cupich says the church must be proactive in tackling abuse.
